Hello, I'm Rachel

Spreading my love of art and letter-writing, one month at a time

I'm an artist and stationery designer. Fancy a fine-art print of a map sent to your door each month, along with a heartfelt letter and some small but mighty paper goods? Then you've come to the right place! I can't wait to send you a letter!

I've always been a massive stationery addict — a lifelong fascination with paper goods and printed ephemera. Writing to pen pals was what I spent most of my pocket money on as a child back in the 1990s. Stamps, pens, eye-catching note-paper, envelopes, the lot! To this day, I still write with a fountain pen and can't walk past a stationery shop without browsing — or purchasing!

Why "Lazuli Letters"? My favourite colour is blue, and I adore the lapis lazuli stone — the first-ever blue pigment used in paintings. When maps became more colourful, lapis lazuli was used to paint the oceans blue. With my map paintings, everything fell into place.
